Using Stickers on Cards and Scrapbook Pages

Stickers can work wonders on your projects if used correctly. Often times I see cards and pages that people have created and the stickers or embellishments are floating on the project. There is a trick to it. You have to make the sticker seem like it belongs there. You can do this by adding additional items such as flowers or embellishments to tie it all together. When making cards you can use a large sticker as the focal point and work around the colors of the sticker. Add the sticker on cardstock, I typically use white. Ink the edges, mat the image and  place it on the card blank. Sometimes I use pop dots to give dimension. Here are a few cards that I made where I used a sticker as the focal point. These cards are very simple and were made in under 10 minutes.

Supreme 90 Day, Homeschooling, Artfire & No Time!

Hey everyone!

Sorry it's been so long since my last post. I have been super busy. I don't know if you all know but I have been actively loosing weight since last year. So far I have lost 60 pounds & I have 20 more to go. YAY! I'm happy with the way I look but I just need to tone it all up. A few months ago I decided to try this Supreme 90 day program and let me tell you. It kicks ass, weights are exhausting & lifting make me hungry! On top of that I have been trying to help my mom loose her weight as well.

I hve a few new projects i am working on for Artfire and my website. I want to expand my line to be
more of a gift shop. It's been a lot of hard work but it's coming slowly. I'm in the process of adding new cards and a few jewelry pieces. Hopefully after that I can a few other secret items. I don't want to say yet because I'm not sure if I'm going to add them this year. I hope to have at least 100 cards and 50 pieces of Jewelry in my inventory by the end of September. The plan is actually a major overhaul of my current Artfire studio and website. So between getting the last 20 pounds off, homeschooling, trying to help my mom, and crafting. I have been really strapped for time, but stay with me because I still plan to have contest and giveaways here on the blog once I get everything settled.

Don't you just love altered stuff!

I just love altering stuff. Anything I can get my hands on, I alter. The other day  while I was shopping in hobby lobby. I noticed that these Paper Mache boxes where mistakably marked 50% off from the prior weeks sale. Now I'm not dishonest but I knew that if it was marked then they would have to give it to me for the discounted price. So I grabbed the last two that were left. I only did one box but I love how it turned out. I plan to use these to put my handmade flowers in.

I get passionate about a lot of different things, so this blog will probably end up being a mixed bag of goodies and projects. In the future I hope to have a few contest and RAK's. For now I will just post all the great projects I've been working on. Thanks so much for stopping in.
